Dust Tactics - Allied Infantry

Erst jüngst habe ich über meine Axis Infantry von Dust Tactics berichtet.

Heute gibt es ein paar Bilder der gegnerischen amerikanischen Infanterie.
Die ist, wie man schon auf den ersten Blick erkennen kann, genauso abgefahren wie die deutschen Pendants.
Der Designer liebt offensichtlich Sprungtruppen, die mit Raketenantrieb ausgerüstet, sich über das Schlachtfeld bewegen können.

Angeführt wird die alliierte Einheit der Grundbox von einem Typen, der ne Mischung von Elvis Presley und Johnny Cash sein könnte.

Das hier ist er.
Sergeant Major William Springfield, genannt Rhino.
Na und ist es nicht der BRÜLLER, dass ein Mann mit Raketenantrieb auf dem Rücken auch noch Springfield heißt?????
Ich liebe Flachwitze; und der ist schon richtig gut.
Herr Springfield, genannt Rhino, ist dann auch der Chef der „Hammers Soldiers“.
Die sehen jetzt wiederum irgendwie aus wie Astronauten, die zwar ihre Schutzhaube angezogen, den Helm aber im Spind vergessen haben.

Wie es sich für Astronauten gehört, haben die natürlich auch Raketen auf dem Rücken und sind so etwas, wie die besten Kumpels von Herrn Springfield. Er war halt auch mal einer von Ihnen, hat den gleichen Punch in seinen Fäusten und ist zudem auch noch Berserker.
Wir singen: „Hard as a rock…..”
Diese „Fantastischen Vier“, also Springfield und „The Hammers“ sind so etwas wie die Nahkampfspezialisten im Dust Universum.
Ihre Bewaffnung erinnert dann wieder an Energiefäuste aus dem 40K Universum.
Muss einem nicht gefallen, ist aber so.
„The Hammers“ – geht es Ihnen eigentlich auch so, dass Ihr Hirn, wenn Sie den Namen lesen, imaginäre Heavy Metal Gitarrenriffs in Ihren Gehörkanal spült – haben nämlich einen „Rocket Punch“ in jeder Faust. Ziemlich effektiv das Ganze.
Die beiden anderen Trupps der Dust Tactics Grundbox haben ebenfalls epische Namen:
Es sind die „Hell Boys Soldiers“ und die „Death Dealers Soldiers“.

Jetzt ist es allerdings nicht so, dass die ersteren den guten alten Ron Perlman, Hellboy, als Anführer haben.
Aber immerhin haben sie Flammenwerfer dabei, was die Bezeichnung Hellboys dann ja auch wieder rechtfertigt.
Hinter dem hochtrabenden Namen „Death Dealers“ verbirgt sich die normale Infanterie der US-Truppen, bewaffnet mit Weiterentwicklungen des M1 Gewehrs, der Bazooka und des BAR.

Natürlich sehen die Jungs etwas sci-fi mäßiger aus als die Standard Weltkrieg II. US-Infanterie.
Wir sind ja hier auch in einem WW II Pulp Trash Setting.
Alles gut.
Aber generell kommt der Ursprungslook dann doch etwas rüber.
Der Helm ähnelt dem M1 Stahlhelm, die Jungs tragen Mäntel, wie die Fallis in Bastogne, na und außerdem haben sie auch die guten, alten Ranger Gamaschen an.
Ich finde diese Adaption tatsächlich gelungen.
Deshalb habe ich sie auch in verschiedenen Grün- und Braunoliv Tönen bemalt.
Mehr muss man zu diesen Jungs auch nicht schreiben.
Merken muss man sich auch nicht, was ich gerade geschrieben habe.
Es ist ja Trash, wie ich bereits oben erwähnte.
Aber wenn der oder die Walker der Alliierten fertig sein werden, rundet die Infanterie das Gesamtbild dann sehr schön ab.
Irgendwie gefallen mir die Jungs, trotz meiner ganzen Zweifel und meiner Ironie.
Mal gucken, wie das Ganze aussieht, wenn die Kampfläufer sich auch noch zum Gruppenfoto einfinden werden.
Am Ende werde ich noch richtiger Fan.
Mein Glück, dass die Serie jetzt fast komplett vom Markt verschwunden ist.
Bis zu einer eventuellen Neuauflage werde ich dann ja auch nicht so viel kaufen können.
Im Grunde auch nicht schlimm, denn eigentlich brauche ich das ja alles nicht.

Today there are some pictures of the opposing American infantry.
As you can see at first glance, it's just as crazy as the German counterparts.
The designer obviously loves jump troopers equipped with rocket propulsion that can move around the battlefield.
The allied unit of the basic box is led by a guy who could be a cross between Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash.
This is him.
Sergeant Major William Springfield, known as Rhino.
Well, and isn't it the ROAR that a man with rocket propulsion on his back is also called Springfield?????
I love flat jokes; and it's really good.
Mr. Springfield, called Rhino, is then also the boss of the "Hammers Soldiers".
They somehow look like astronauts who have put on their protective hoods but left their helmets in their lockers.
As it should be for astronauts, they also have rockets on their backs and are something like Mr. Springfield's best buddies. He was just one of them once, has the same punch in his fists and is also berserker.
We sing: "Hard as a rock...."
These "Fantastic Four", i.e. Springfield and "The Hammers" are something like the melee specialists in the Dust universe.
Their armament is then reminiscent of energy fists from the 40K universe.
You don't have to like it, but that's how it is.
"The Hammers" - do you also think that when you read the name your brain flushes imaginary heavy metal guitar riffs into your auditory canal - because they have a "rocket punch" in each fist. All pretty effective.
The other two squads of the Dust Tactics core box also have epic names:
They are the Hell Boys Soldiers and the Death Dealers Soldiers.
Now, it's not like the former have good old Ron Perlman, Hellboy, as their leader.
But at least they have flamethrowers with them, which justifies the term Hellboys.
Behind the lofty name "Death Dealers" hides the normal infantry of the US troops, armed with advancements of the M1 rifle, the bazooka and the BAR.
Of course the guys look a bit more sci-fi than the standard World War II US infantry.
We are also in a WW II pulp trash setting here.
It's all ok.
But in general, the original look comes across a bit.
The helmet is similar to the M1 Stahlhelm, the boys wear coats like the Paras in Bastogne, well, and they also wearing the good old Ranger gaiters.
I really like this adaptation.
That's why I painted them in different green and brown olive tones.
You don't have to write more about these guys.
You don't have to remember that either.
It's trash, as I wrote above.
But when the Allied walkers are finished, the infantry rounds off the overall picture very nicely.
Somehow I like the boys, despite all my doubts and irony.
Let's see how the whole thing looks like when the walkers also show up for the group photo.
I'll end up becoming a real fan.
I'm lucky that the series has now almost completely disappeared from the market.
I won't be able to buy as much until a possible new edition.
Basically not bad, because actually I do not need more stuff.
