Corona bedingt fielen im Jahr 2020 und 2021 fast alle Tabeletopveranstaltungen aus.
In diesem Jahr begann dann im Frühjahr eine gewisse Entspannung.
Hier und dort tauchten Conventions, meist noch mit begrenzten Zuschauern, in den Veranstaltungskalendern auf.
Highlight war dann wohl, ich war persönlich nicht da, der Restart der Tactica in Hamburg in diesem Oktober.
Mein persönlicher Tabletopstart wird erst im Jahr 2023 stattfinden; und zwar auf der Szenario im Januar in Hackenheim bei Bad Kreuznach. Zum Glück ist das ja nicht mehr lange.
Für mich ist die Szenario das lang erwartete Highlight. Vor allem, weil man dann dort wieder eine schöne Auswahl an Präsentationen und Spieltischen sehen wird.
Spieltische und die damit verbundenen Präsentationen sind das Salz in der Suppe im Tabletop.
Vielen Präsentatoren ist es vielleicht gar nicht so bewusst, dass Ihr Auftritt viel länger nachhalt, als die eigentliche Veranstaltung.
Schöne Wargaming Plattem, toll bemalte Figuren inspirieren andere Hobbyisten.
Man sieht, was man machen kann. Wie schön, dass eigene Hobby zu gestalten ist.
Präsentation ist somit auch Inspiration.
Somit ist es dann auch nicht weiter verwunderlich, dass auf meinem Blog die Zugriffe auf Bilder von Wargaming Veranstaltungen entsprechend hoch sind; und das auch noch lange nachdem diese Veranstaltungen schon Geschichte sind.
Immer wieder schauen sich Menschen meine Bilder der Tactica von 2016 an.
Keine Ahnung warum gerade dieses Jahr. Denn ich habe seit 2015 von fast allen Tactica Veranstaltungen Bilder ins Netz gestellt.
Aber die Tactica 2016 ist zumindest für die Besucher dieses BLOGS offensichtlich das absolute Highlight.
Aber nicht nur meine Leser, sondern auch ich, werde von guten Präsentationen inspiriert.
In zwei Berichten möchte ich Ihnen Bilder von zwei Spieltischen
zeigen, die ich extrem gelungen finde.
Ich habe Sie aus dem Internet, und ich fände es wirklich klasse, wenn die Präsentatoren dieser beiden Spiele diese hier auf meinem BLOG finden würden, und vielleicht sagen. Eh, das ist doch meine Präsentation aus 2016. Warum taucht die jetzt hier auf?

Bei der ersten Platte handelt es sich um die Darstellung eines modernen Themas.
Vor allem die verarbeiteten Wandplakate auf einigen Mauern zeigen, dass es sich hier um eine Szene aus dem Irakkrieg handelt.
Was gefällt mir jetzt persönlich an dieser Platte? Was inspiriert mich da?
Es sind vor allem kleine Details, die diese Darstellung über den Schnitt herausheben.
In der Totalen sieht man zunächst verschiedene orientalische Gebäude.
Die sind aus MdF, einem Werkstoff, der bei einigen Wargamern wegen
mangelnder Tiefenwirkung abgelehnt wird. Andere wiederum finden MdF gerade bei
orientalischen Gebäuden klasse, weil mit Brushtechniken und mit Strukturfarbe
diese Tiefenwirkung sehr schnell erzeugt werden kann.
Im Grunde alles Geschmackssache.
Die Gebäude selbst sind parallel, geradlinig angeordnet.
Modellbauer lehnen eine solche Anordnung oftmals ab.
Diese versuchen durch eine schräge Anordnung von Straßen und parallellaufenden Häuserzeilen die Symmetrie zu brechen.
Für mich ist das kein Muss und mich stört die hier im Bild gezeigte Darstellung gar nicht.
Was mich allerdings an der Spielplatte beeindruckt ist die Detailierung.
Sie beginnt mit der Verwendung von farbigen Highlights.
Die Kuppeln der Moschee sind blau.
Im Grunde alles Geschmackssache.

Über die ganze Platte sind kleine Mauersteine verteilt. Bruch, Trümmerreste, die das Gesamtbild auflockern, und realistischer machen.
Schauen Sie sich in den Detailaufnahmen einmal die Mülltonnen an.
Auch hier überall feine Details.
Markisen und Balkone brechen den gleichförmigen Look der Gebäude.
Marktstände haben bunte Dächer.
Und ja; da steht dann auch ein Cola Automat an der Wand.
Wandplakate sind nicht nur auf die Mauer geklebt. Nein. Sie sind auf einem Rahmen befestigt.
Verkehrsschilder ordnen die Szenerie in eine klar zu definierende Region ein.
Barrikaden bestehen aus allem was das Herz begehrt.
Es gibt Palmen, die in ein Beet eingepflanzt sind.
Und vieles, vieles mehr.
Ich würde tatsächlich gerne auf dieser Platte spielen.
Denn spätestens in der Froschperspektive sieht man so viele Details, dass es einfach Spaß macht, sein Auge hier schweifen zu lassen.
Und was ist das Genialste an dieser Platte????
Im Grunde ist da Standard verbaut. 80% der verwendeten Materialien sind von der Stange.
MdF Häuser und ein paar Palmen. Mehr nicht.
Aber man sieht hier deutlich, was das Hinzufügen kleiner Details ausmachen kann; und das feiere ich an dieser Platte.
Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen, auch mir selbst, wenn ich dieses Thema einmal angehen sollte, an diese Details zu denken.
Figuren sind schnell gekauft.
Aber Zubehör wird noch heute sehr, sehr stiefmütterlich behandelt.
Das ist schade.
Aber; es gibt auch Gegenbeispiele. Positive.
Mein Sammlerkollege Gero hat das Ganze kapiert.
Er malt schon seit Wochen an Sci-Fi Zubehör für ein Projekt, dass noch gar nicht zu Ende gedacht, geschweige denn schon in der Mache ist.
So muss das sein.
Und ich wünsche mir, dass viele Wargamer sich einmal darüber Gedanken machen, wie man Zubehör auf eine Spielplatte bringen kann, denn dann würde es noch großartigere Präsentationen im Netz geben, die man bewundern könnte.

in 2020 and 2021.
This year, a certain relaxation began in the spring.
Conventions popped up here and there, mostly with limited visitors.
The highlight was probably, I wasn't there personally, the restart of the Tactica in Hamburg this October.
My personal tabletop launch will not take place until 2023; namely at the „Szenario“ in January in Hackenheim near Bad Kreuznach. Luckily that's really in the near future.
For me, the „Szenario“ is the long-awaited highlight. Mainly because you will see a nice selection of presentations and gaming tables there again.
Gaming tables and the associated presentations are the icing on the cake in tabletop.
Many presenters may not be aware that their appearance lasts much longer than the actual event.
Beautiful wargaming tables, beautifully painted figures inspire other hobbyists.
You see what you can do. How nice that you can create your own hobby.
Presentation is therefore also inspiration.
So it is not surprising then that the access to pictures of Wargaming events on my blog is correspondingly high; and that too long after these events are already history.
People keep looking at my pictures of the 2016 Tactica.
No idea why this year. Because since 2015 I've put pictures of almost every Tactica event online.
But the Tactica 2016 is obviously the absolute highlight, at least for the visitors of this BLOG.
But not only my readers, but also I am inspired by good presentations.
In two reports I would like to show you pictures of two gaming tables that I find extremely awesome.
I got them from the internet and I would really love it if the presenters of these two games would find them here on my BLOG and maybe say so. Ey, that's my presentation from 2016. Why is it showing up here now?
The reason is simple. I just like them.
I actually don't remember where I got these screenshots from. Except, funnily enough, they're also from 2016, the same year as my Tactica report.
2016 seems to have been a great Wargaming year.
The first game is a depiction of a modern theme.
Above all, the processed wall posters on some walls show that this is a scene from the Iraq war.
What do I personally like about this presentation now? What inspires me there?
Above all, it is the small details that make this depiction stand out above the cut.
In the long shot you can see various oriental buildings. They are made of MdF, a material that some wargamers reject because of the lack of depth. Others, on the other hand, find MdF particularly great for oriental buildings, because this depth effect can be created very quickly with brush techniques and structural paint.
Basically it's all a matter of taste.
The buildings themselves are arranged in parallel, straight lines.
Model builders often reject such an arrangement.
They try to break the symmetry with an oblique arrangement of streets and parallel rows of houses.
For me this is not a must and the representation shown here in the picture does not bother me at all.
What impresses me about the game board, however, is the level of detail.
It starts with the use of colored highlights.
The domes of the mosque are blue. Also doors and windows.
Single red bricks can be found at the crowning of the walls.
The curbs of the buildings are also in a different color
The buildings stand on modeled subsoil.
You can see pavement, or in the area of the market a different colored ground tone of the floor.
Add to that the small details.
Small bricks are distributed over the whole gaming table. Breakage, remains of debris that loosen up the overall picture and make it more realistic.
Take a look at the garbage cans in the detail shots.
Here, too, fine details everywhere.
Awnings and balconies break up the uniform look of the buildings.
Market stalls have colorful roofs.
And yes; there is also a Coke machine on the wall.
Wall posters are not just pasted on the wall. No. They are attached to a frame.
Traffic signs classify the scenery into a clearly defined region.
Barricades consist of everything your heart desires.
There are palm trees planted in a bed.
And much, much more.
I would actually like to play on this gaming table.
Because at the latest in the frog's perspective you can see so many details that it's just fun to let your eyes wander here.
And what is the most brilliant thing about this presentation????

My collector colleague Gero got the whole thing.
For weeks he has been painting on sci-fi accessories for a project that has not yet been thought through to the end, let alone in the making.
That's the way it has to be.
And I wish that a lot of wargamers would give some thought to how to put accessories on a game board, because then there would be even greater presentations on the net to admire.
