Da meine
Sowjets und Deutsche für Battlegroup in 1/72 ja schon lange spielfertig sind,
und Ergänzungen mittlerweile den Charakter eines Feintunings annehmen, war es
Zeit eine weitere Armee des Zweiten Weltkriegs anzugehen.
Das
MUSSTEN für mich die Briten sein.
Ich habe
ja bereits eine britische Motor Company für den Afrikafeldzug in 15 mm.
Damit ist
dieser Kriegsschauplatz für mich auch in diesem Maßstab abgedeckt.
Die
Alternative ergab sich somit fast von selbst.
Eine Late
War Truppe muss her.
Heute
möchte ich Ihnen die Infanterie und die Artillerie vorstellen.
Für meine
Infanteristen habe ich vor allem das Set von Cäsar, H055 British Army,
verwendet.
Hinzu
kommen noch ein paar Minis aus der Revell Packung 02523 British Infantry und
Revell 02501 Australian Infantry.
Hier habe
ich aber nur ein paar Figuren verwendet. Vor allem Offiziere und MG Schützen.
Wer diese
Sets jetzt nicht besitzt, kann sich das Geld auch sparen, denn mittlerweile
werden diese Minis zu horrenden Preisen verkauft, weil sie aktuell nicht mehr
aufgelegt werden.
Ergänzt
wurden diese generischen Infanteristen mit ein paar Spezialfiguren.
Diese
stammen aus zwei Hät Sets.
Hät 8227
British Mortars und Hät 8228 WW2 British Machine Guns.
Aus
diesen beiden Spezialpackungen habe ich allerdings nur ein paar Miniaturen
verwendet, da mir nicht alle Figuren gefallen, und einige nach meiner Meinung
nicht wirklich gelungen sind.
Für die
Artillerie und die Mörsereinheiten habe ich auf einen Zinnfigurenhersteller
zurückgegriffen, der vielleicht nicht jedem Leser bekannt ist.
Es gibt
eine Miniaturenreihe, die ursprünglich unter dem Namen Warmodelling Miniatures
firmierte.
Diese
Reihe wurde von Stonewallfigures übernommen und ist mittlerweile hier über
deren Onlineshop bestellbar.
Hier
heißt die Reihe jetzt Capitan 20mm WW2, es handelt sich aber um die gleichen
Figuren.
Zu den
Zinnfiguren selbst ist zu sagen, dass sie jetzt nicht unbedingt mit AB
Miniatures vergleichbar sind, aber sie sind doch sehr realistisch modelliert
und passen von ihrem Design perfekt zu den Cäsar Miniaturen. Zudem sind sie
relativ preisgünstig.
Kommen
wir zu den Miniaturen selbst.
Hier
sehen Sie ein Übersichtsfoto, auf dem die Miniaturen bereits in ihren
entsprechenden Einheiten aufgestellt sind.
Battlegroup
Overlord – Beyond the Beaches formiert die Engländer in Rifle Sections von 10
Mann mit einem Bren MG. Im Bild habe ich die Einheiten in Fünfergruppen
unterteilt. Vorne sehen sie die Gruppe rund um das MG, dahinter die normalen
Infanteristen.
Wie Sie
sehen können, habe ich auch ein paar Minis mit Flammenwerfern bemalt.
Diese
sind nicht standardmäßig in der Infanterieeinheit, sondern sind eine Option für
eine Combat Engineers Section.
Light
Mortar Teams und Piat Teams ergänzen die Einheit, ebenso wie dieser Soldat mit
einer Boys Rifle, einer Panzerbüchse.
Das
Platoon Command kann auf verschiedene Minis zurückgreifen, ebenso wie
Das
Forward Headquarter.
Optionen
wie den Forward Air Control Officer, die Forward Signal Unit oder das Comms Relay
Team, kann ich mit diesen Figuren darstellen.
Der
Kommandojeep ist aus dem alten Airfix LRDG Set.
2 x 25pd
Geschütze, gezogen von einem Quad, bilden den Abschluss dieses Berichts.
Das
Modell ist ein Fertigmodell der Firma Amercom (Amercom 1:72 British Morris Quad
Gun Tractor with Limber and 25 Pounder).
Das
Modell ist mit Inks leicht gealtert.
Die
knienden Soldaten sind übrigens Zinnminis von Stonewall. Wie sie sehen können,
passen sie perfekt zu den Plastikminis, denn der Offizier ist aus dem Revell
Set 02523.
In einem
weiteren Bericht werde ich ihnen die Panzer und Fahrzeuge der Engländer
vorstellen. Wegen Lieferverzögerungen habe ich da erst vor kurzem die Decals
bekommen, und die müssen erst einmal geklebt werden, eine Arbeit, die ich
tatsächlich nicht mag.

Since my
Soviets and Germans have been ready to play for Battlegroup in 1/72 for a long
time, and additions now take on the character of fine-tuning, it was time to
tackle another army of the Second World War.
That MUST
be the British for me.
I already
have a British Motor Company for the Africa campaign in 15 mm.

Today I
want to introduce you to the infantry and artillery.
For my

the tin figures themselves, it can be said that they are not necessarily
comparable to AB Miniatures, but they are modeled very realistically and their
design perfectly matches the Caesar miniatures. They are also relatively
inexpensive.

see an overview photo, on which the miniatures are already set up in their
respective units.
Battlegroup
Overlord - Beyond the Beaches formed the English in rifle sections of 10 men
with a Bren MG. In the picture I have divided the units into groups of five. In
the front you see the group around the MG, behind it the normal infantrymen.
As you
can see, I also painted a few minis with flame throwers.
These are
not standard in the infantry unit, but are an option for a Combat Engineers
Section.
Light
Mortar Teams and Piat Teams complete the unit, as does this soldier with a Boys
Rifle, an anti tank rifle.

Options

way, the kneeling soldiers are tin minis from Stonewall. As you can see, they
fit perfectly with the plastic minis, because the officer is from the Revell

another report I will introduce the tanks and vehicles of the British. Because
of delivery delays, I only recently got the decals, and they have to be glued
first, a job that I actually don't like.

be patient.
